After qualifying for the main event via a $150 satellite, I ended up 26th in the Casino Malecon Palace at Santo Domingo. With a payout of $2466, I am content with the result, but a little unhappy too. I made one mistake folding pocket deuces against a min raise while sitting one spot to the right of the button. As the hand turned out, I would have made a set on the flop, a full house on the turn and the other two players involved in the hand made flushes on the river and were both all in.
This hand would have tripled me up from 150k to 450k, giving me a chip lead and a good shot at the final table at least. But anyway, it was a good run, I played well except maybe that one hand, so no reason to beat myself up too much. Next stop will probably be the LAPT in Vina del Mar, Chile.
