LAPT Lima, day 2 in the main event
After starting with a chipstack of 84.000, thing kept going very well for me. I constantly built up my stack by playing extremely tight. No bad beats during the whole day, and what is more important, I felt that the guys at my table respect my game a lot. That of course helped a lot when as I successfully pulled off some c-bets and bluffs.
There is one thing I am really enjoying here, and that is the ambience of this tournament. The players - mostly southamericans - are relly extermely relaxed and friendly. In spite of the fact that there is a lot of money involved (the prize pool is over $1 Million with 750+ buy-ins), everyone is so cool. I haven"t seen much of Lima so far - they do have a phantastic shopping mall right above the beach, with great cafes and restaurants overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
The tournament day ended very well for me. The second-to-last hand of the day increased my chipstack from 220.000 to 317.000 when I was lucky enough to have KK when raised into by another player holding QQ and three low cards came on the flop. Day 3 will start at 12h tomorrow, and I am 16th in chips, with 45 players left out of 233 that started the day.
